Prior to Radiophone John was a consultant in the Dallas office of international management consulting firm PDI. There he worked with Fortune 500 mid- and upper-level management in areas such as leadership, communication, administrative and interpersonal skill development. John has been with Radiophone since 1998, acting as Vice President until March, 2008, and now company President, overseeing all operations, business development and strategy. Company revenues have increased 400% over this period, helping the company win six consecutive Motorola Pinnacle Club awards for sales excellence, including a top Motorola national sales growth award in 2003, a top Motorola national unit count award in 2004, and overall highest growth amongst Motorola’s largest volume U.S. dealers in 2008. John is a current member of Motorola’s National Dealer Advisory Committee, a Motorola-nominated position given only to ten leaders in the thousands-strong Motorola Partner community. John has a BA & MA in psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, and an MBA from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University.

Jon purchased Radiophone Engineering Inc. from his father, Urso George, in 1972. Previous to Radiophone he was with North American Rockwell at Cape Kennedy, Florida where he served as a Senior Propulsion Engineer for APOLLO Space Missions 1 through 12. He served as Radiophone's President from 1972 to 2008 and now serves as company Secretary and Controller. He was an inaugural member of the Motorola, Inc. MSS National Advisory Committee, a Motorola-nominated position given only to top leaders in the service community. He served two terms. Jon built out only the second 800-MHz Specialized Mobile Radio (SMR) system in the country in 1982, a technology that would be the basis of the NEXTEL system almost 13 years later. Jon has an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville and an MBA from Stetson University in Deland, Florida.

Roy Coble

Roy began his career with Motorola, Inc. in 1979 in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He served as Zone Manger in the mid-to-late 1980’s, then as Sr. Account Executive until his departure in 1992. After Motorola he continued his land mobile radio sales career with an authorized dealer in NW Arkansas before taking a general management position with a national contractor supply company. Roy came to Radiophone in 1998 to help launch Radiophone of NW Arkansas, Inc. in Springdale. His leadership and customer relations skill has made Radiophone of NW Arkansas a premiere land mobile radio sales and service organization. Motorola honored Radiophone as the Arkansas Dealer of the Year in 2004.

Mark Crowe
Sales Manager

Mark served as Zone Manager for Motorola, Inc. during the 1980’s before moving on to a St. Louis area Motorola authorized dealer. As Sales Manager he took this dealership to Motorola’s prestigious Pinnacle Club given for sales excellence. Over his 20 years selling Motorola communications products Mark has won numerous Motorola and company sales awards for customer service and volume production. He has been with Radiophone since 1998.
